Oration
ISSH has two prestigious Orations named after the pioneers in Hand Surgery in India, Prof. R Venkataswami & Prof B B Joshi.
Prof R Venkataswami oration was initiated in the year 1999 with efforts from Dr S Raja Sabapathy. Prof B B Joshi Oration was established a year later, in 2000, with efforts from Dr Ram Prabhoo & Dr Pankaj Jindal.
Emperor Ashoka AwardEmperor Ashoka Award and oration was instituted through the efforts of Dr. Somes Guha and with the help of Dr. Brijendra Singhal and Dr. Veena Singhal to recognize individuals for their immense contribution to Hand Surgery influencing the care of upper limbs across the world.
